I really love this one. You capture so perfectly how we exist in our own imaginations and those images change over time. Really thoughtful.

Thank you, Tara! 😊 I'm glad you enjoyed it. You, Margaret, and Adam have all inspired me with your poetry and your consistency in sharing it so I thought I'd dip my toe into the poetry pond. :)

Oh Petra, all of this is luscious. Your vulnerable intro, the poem. It reminds me of a sculpture I saw at MONA in Tasmania some years back. It's was a statue of Buddha made from incense powder. I guess that's what life is.

Thank you so much, Jo! 😊 That sculpture sounds beautiful and thought provoking. Was it intended to be lit?

No it was literally all dust and it slowly disintegrated.

The passage of time and the lenses we see through as it moves are always interesting to explore. Thanks for reading, Luis.

Wow - stunning poem. Do you know Hilda Doolittle - reminds me of her work, in the best possible way :-)

Thanks, Dick! I have not heard of Hilda Doolittle. I'll check out her work. It's always fun to discover new poets and writers. :)

A pleasure :-) She often goes by the pseudonym H.D. so that might be useful when searching. This was the poem I was reminded of specifically: https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poetrymagazine/poems/13057/garden

Striking poem, Petra! Good to hear from you too. Not having heard from you or Adam for a while I’d wondered how you were. Glad to see the answer is well!

Thanks, Thomas! We've been busy on the novel writing front here, so not as much poem writing happening. But we're still here! :)

Knowing you have other projects, I thought it would probably be something like that. But good to hear! Good luck with the novel!
