What a terrific idea. I need community at the moment, so this is perfect. Thanks for organising it.

February is a difficult month in the northland. This year is especially hard, because I’m facing my first Valentine’s Day alone, after 43 years of marriage. It will keep my mind occupied. And I haven’t focused on poetry in a long time. Thank you for the opportunity.

Forty-three years of marriage. What a beautiful accomplishment. And I am so sorry to hear about your spouse's passing. I hope you find some comfort and community in poetry this next month.

Keeping you in my thoughts. ❤️

This sounds like a great encouragement to write. I've tried to write a poem a day in April for National Poetry Month, but I never had somebody else providing the prompt. I'll play along as best I can. I'm starting a poetry writing class next week, so I may end up over my head in poetry. But thanks for this. It sounds like fun.

Welcome, Tara! I'm glad you're joining. :) The prompt words are fun and I find they help me feel freer and come up with something more easily. And yes, please hop in and out as needed.
