A few days late. But illnesses don’t always agree with our preferred schedules. So, que sera, sera. (You’ll also notice that I’m going to be a few days behind on getting the audio up for this post. As well as late on my monthly newsletter.) And, if you’re just joining in and wondering what February Poetry Adventure is all about, you can read more here. :)
These prompt posts are the repositories for our adventures. A touch stone. A map to check back in on if we’ve taken a detour, paused at a rest stop, or are jumping in late. It’s your invitation to take the Adventure at your own rate. And revisit if and when you desire. (You can visit 2024’s Adventure prompts, too.)
So, because social media is exhausting and the algorithms never make any sense, I’ve created this post as a place you can check back to instead of scrolling through the Notes. You’ll find the list of prompt words below, updated each day, as well as having them linked to each posted Note so you can go back and read other people’s poems too. We’re all in different timezones and on different Adventure paces, so poems are added to each prompt at different times and on different days. Feel free to go back to past prompt words and see if any new poems are linked.
And if you’re posting your poems on Instagram you can use the #FebruaryPoetryAdventure to find the small but growing collection of public poems.
I’ll be updating this list between 12am and 2am PST each day. And I’ll add a note of encouragement here and there as well. :)
Optional Daily Poetry Prompts
Day 8: Dinner (You’re doing amazing! Keep going. 😀 And pop into this Note to let us know how the first week is going for you.)
Day 10: Bench (Can you believe we’re over one-third of the way through the Adventure?!)
Day 14: Whistle We’ve made it halfway through! We’re doing awesome! 😀
Day 21: Embrace You’re doing an amazing job exploring your poetry! 😀
Alright, we’ll see you back here and/or in the Notes tomorrow. Happy Adventuring!
Love you, Petra ❤️
P.S. You’re amazing and you’ve got this and remember, it’s just for fun and exploration. So give yourself space to play, rest, and let go.
Thanks for reading! As an indie author, I really appreciate your support. :) If you decide to subscribe because you like what I write and want to follow along with my stories and novels-in-progress it would mean the world to me.
If you enjoyed this post, consider becoming a paid subscriber, OR, buy me a cup of tea. My tea budget will thank you. :)
And, if you know someone who might enjoy this Poetry Adventure as well, I’d love for you to share it with them too, so here’s a button for that:
I love hearing your thoughts and comments on these posts. As always, this means I’m trusting you the reader to give me the benefit of the doubt if I say something weird, or create space for something which doesn’t align with what you think or where you are in your journey, just as I’ll do for you. And please extend the same courtesy to fellow commenters. This is a space to respect each other and the fact that being human is both amazingly beautiful and fucking complicated. Thank you for your respect.
thank you so much, Petra, for updating them so late in the night! Based in Europe, it allows me to tackle the prompts in the morning :)) Hope you’re feeling better now🧡send you much energy!!
